The Alaska Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reference Case Projections, 1990-2020, prepared by the Center for Climate Strategies for the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), takes a first comprehensive look at all potential anthropogenic sources of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in the state. The report was prepared in February 2007.

In 2006, House Concurrent Resolution 30 created the Alaska Climate Impact Assessment Commission (Climate Commission). The Climate Commission consists of 11 members.

The Climate Commission's webpages provide additional information regarding climate change in Alaska:

Division of Air Quality, former Director Tom Chapple and other directors testified before the Climate Commission about climate change and the state's ability to respond to it, as well as changes already happening.   Click below to download his presentation.
