Registration modification for Dacthal Herbicide

The pesticide product Dacthal W-75 Agricultural Herbicide, EPA Registration Number 5481-491, has been reclassified as a State Restricted Use Pesticide.  Per 18 AAC 90.030 and 18 AAC 90.300, a person may not purchase, use, sell, or distributed a restricted-use pesticide unless properly certified or authorized.

EPA orders Scotts Co and affiliates to stop selling certain weed and feed pesticides because they are not registered for sale and use.

The EPA Registration Numbers are #62355-4, #538-304, #538-299, and #538-301. An EPA consumer hotline to answer questions about the action has been established at 1-888-838-1304 (9am-4:30pm CDT) or the National Pesticide Information Center at 1-800-858-7378 (6:30am-4:30pm PDT).

Scotts company has agreed to recall these products from the retail locations across the United States including Alaska and to set up a process for consumers to safely return any unregistered products they may have purchased. Consumers should NOT purchase or use these products. These products should be stored in a safe, cool, dry place such as a garage or utility shed until you can safely return them. Do NOT dispose of them down the drain, in the garbage or at a community disposal site.
