gas. The Wrangell Fire Department estimated that the amount released
was about 30 pounds. The 125 pound cylinder was reported to be
approximately 50 % full at the time of the release and approximately
25% remained in the cylinder when the leak was secured. |
| Cause |
The
Wrangell Fire Department reported that the release was caused by
a leak in the cylinder valve, probably due to corrosion and lack
of maintenance. |

on October 13, 2004 and notified the Wrangell Fire Department who
notified ADEC via the Spill Report Line at 7:00 PM on October 13,
2004 . |
