The release occurred approximately four hundred and fifty (450) meters up gradient of Horseshoe Lake at the Alderwood Townhouses in Kodiak, Alaska. |

Heating oil. The actual amount released is unknown. A small flow of oil sheen was discharging from the storm drain outflow into Horseshoe Lake during times of heavy rainfall. The
discharge has been stopped. |
| Cause |
A leaking underground heating oil tank at the Alderwood Townhouse building. |

On January 20, 2005 at 4:25 PM the Department received an anonymous complaint of an oil sheen flowing from a storm drain outflow into Horseshoe Lake in Kodiak, Alaska. |
