STAR Tactics Manual project homepage. This website was created to assist the STAR Workgroup in development of the STAR Tactics Manual and the STAR Field Guide.

Objective

The main goal of this project was development of a statewide spill response tactics manual for use by the spill response community, including federal, state, local, industry, and spill cooperatives throughout Alaska. The end product is available for general use by the spill response community in Alaska and may also serve as a means for meeting state contingency planning requirements. Digital files of the final printed STAR manual can be found in the “Documents” portion of this web site.

The initial print run has passed; however, if you are interested in ordering copies of either the tactics manual (8.5”x11” three-hole punch, with binder), the field guide (4.25” x 7.25” spiral bound), or the CDROM that contains digital files of both versions of the manual, please contact:
