Engineering/Mining Technical Services

The Engineering/Mining Technical group ensures the technical accuracy of State wastewater discharge permits. Our primary services are:

• Response to general questions about  federal (NPDES) and State wastewater permits and permitting process.
• Assistance on technical engineering questions related to wastewater permitting.
• Assistance to help ensure technical accuracy and consistency of wastewater permits and certifications issued by the department.
• Review and permitting of large/hardrock mine projects, as part of the state Large Mine Permitting Team.
